Pre-order your items for your trip home from almost all EU destinations.
You can order duty–free merchandise for both outbound and inbound trips on all flights within and outside the EU.
You will receive a duty–free catalog in the mail about 3 weeks before departure.
It is possible to Pre-order merchandise on the outbound trip which you will receive on the trip home.
Choose your seat
Do you have a favorite seat? Make sure to book it in advance.

Note: Your Lounge access as a EuroBonus member does not apply when you travel on a SAS charter flight. Lounge access not included when booking a Plus ticket on a SAS charter flight.
The amount of baggage you are permitted on your trip with us depends on the type of ticket you are flying on, the route and sometimes on the destination. If you have excess baggage not included on your ticket or you have special baggage, you can pre-book this for a fee.
Note that your baggage allowance as a EuroBonus member does not apply when you travel on an SAS charter flight.
Here is a list of how much baggage you can take with you at no cost when you fly on a charter flight with SAS. (If you are flying regular, other weights apply). If you have more baggage than the specified weight, an excess baggage charge will be added.
Each individual bag may weigh a maximum of 32 kg/71 lbs. If you have baggage weighing more than 32 kg/71 lbs per bag, you have to divide the baggage into at least two bags or ship it as air freight. This regulation applies for regular baggage (not special baggage).
Checked baggage must carry a baggage tag which you receive along with a receipt at Check-in. We recommend that you mark your name and address on your baggage. Address labels are available at the airport.
Remember that you should avoid checking in certain things.
If you have a return trip, after 3 weeks you are entitled to 30 kg/66 lbs checked baggage. This does not apply to passengers traveling on one-way tickets.
When you travel on a ski charter
The free baggage weight for checked baggage in Economy Class is 15 kg/33 lbs.
The free baggage weight for checked baggage in Charter Plus Class is 20 kg/44 lbs.
When traveling with infants
Infants under 2 may check in 10 kg/22 lbs of baggage. However, the child may not bring any carry-on.
You may bring a collapsible buggy at no extra cost. The buggy must be wrapped in a plastic bag which is approved for transport. You can purchase this at the airport.
If you have more baggage than allowed on your ticket, the following applies:
Overweight costs DKK/NOK/SEK 70/EUR 8/USD 10 per kg/lbs (applies per one-way trip when you pay at the airport when departing)
If a single bag weighs more than 32 kg/71 lbs, the baggage must be divided into at least two bags

Rules for carry-on
For safety reasons, EU regulations restrict what you may have in your carry-on. For example, there is a maximum limit restriction on liquids carried in carry-on. Your checked baggage is not governed by the regulations. Read more about these regulations on the Swedish Transportation Agency website
Note that we do not offer compensation for damage to checked baggage or in a carry-on which as been caused by leaking or broken liquid containers.
The regulations given below for special baggage apply for flying charter with SAS. Other rules apply if you are flying on a regular flight.
If you wish to travel with special baggage, except in a very few instances you need to add it when you make your booking – contact your tour operator.
Note that the transport of special baggage is subject to availability.
You can pay for your special baggage at the standard price at the airport when you check in or you can prepay at a lower price using the link given below.
Wheelchairs can be brought at no extra cost. Contact your tour operator to add this in your booking. We also offer wheelchair assistance at the airport. Note that wheelchairs which are powered by wet batteries/lead–acid batteries must be shipped as freight.
When traveling with infants, strollers/buggies can be shipped at no cost. You do not need to book this in advance but the buggy/stroller must be sent as checked baggage in a special transport bag. You can purchase this at the airport.
You can always bring a guide dog and service dog (life saving dog) with you at no extra cost. Otherwise you cannot bring animals with you on our flights. This includes the cabin and cargo hold.

When you travel, it is important that you arrive at the airport in plenty of time before your flight departs. Remember to allow enough time to pass through security at the airport.
The Check-in counter opens 2 hours before flight departure and closes 1 hour before departure
To be certain of arriving in time for your flight, please be at the gate no later than 20 minutes before your flight departs
A seat is reserved for you 7 days before departure. Do you have any special requests or would you like to reserve a special seat?
Check in at an SAS Self–Service kiosk
To avoid long check-in lines at the airport, if you are flying SAS Charter you can check in at a self-service kiosk at most of our departure locales. These kiosks are located in the departures hall, usually close to our check-in counters which are clearly marked SAS Charter. Check-in is easy and the kiosk prints out your boarding card and baggage tags.
Enter the booking number shown on your travel document/certificate
State how many bags you wish to check in
Attach the baggage tags to the bags and tear off and save the receipt
Take your boarding card
Leave your baggage at the SAS "Bag drop” and show identification/passport for everyone in your traveling group
Leave your sports equipment (not winter sports) at the special baggage counter after checking in the rest of your baggage at the SAS “Bag drop”.
For sports trips with alpine skiing equipment, check in at the counters marked SAS Charter.

Inflight food and shopping
Let your vacation begin while you are onboard and enjoy the meals and the shopping. Meals are included on some flights. A special menu is available for children aged 2–11. In other cases, meals are an option which you can choose when booking your flight. Ask your tour operator about the options available on your flight.
If you haven't Pre-ordered your meal, you can always buy something light, snacks and drink during your flight. The selection may vary depending on where you are flying. See our menu
If you would like a special meal, you can order it through your tour operator before your flight departs.
Traveling as visually impaired or deaf If you are visually impaired or deaf and you are traveling alone, we will provide assistance. However, keep in mind that the number of passengers who can be offered this assistance is limited on each flight.
Traveling with a wheelchair You can take your wheelchair with you at no extra charge. Notify us of this when booking your flight. If your wheelchair is powered by a wet battery/lead-acid battery, it must be shipped as air freight.
Traveling with WCHC (cabin) If you are totally immobile. You require a wheelchair to/from the aircraft and must be carried up/down steps and to/from your seat.
Traveling with WCHS (steps) If you cannot walk up/down steps, but you can walk to/from your seat. You need a wheelchair to/from the aircraft and must be carried up/down steps.
Travel with WCHR (ramp) If you can walk up/down steps and to/from your seat on your own. You need a wheelchair to/from the aircraft.
If you require any other assistance, notify us when booking your trip so we can provide the help you need.
Traveling with a service dog
You can bring a service dog onboard the aircraft at no extra charge. The dog is not included in the weight limitation and does not need to be shipped in a cage.
Traveling with oxygen
If you require oxygen during the trip to and from the aircraft and/or during the flight, you can bring you own air or oxygen canister. Simply state how many canisters you will be taking when you book your flight. The canisters can be shipped either as carry-on or checked baggage. The canisters may not exceed the size and weight limitations in our regulations for carry-on (max. 115 cm/45", max. weight 5 kg/11 lbs).
